Rotor Q-rings give you a smoother pedal action and help reduce build up of lactates at threshold.They are adjustable for different riding cadences and give you assistance through the deadspot by reducing the effective gear, and also at the Q-moment(point of most force) by raising the effective gear.
This 38T downhill derivative has proved popular at Elite and pro level competition. Downhills sections of sprintable power riding is ideal for Q-rings. They help get the gear spinning quickly and enable the rider to keep it rolling for just a few seconds longer without lactate burn out. Used in UK by Elite downhiller Jamie Faulkner who after switching to his spare bike for a run immediately fitted his Q-rings.
